To this end, Sloweb is committed to fostering a bottom-up movement, influencing regulatory development, and supporting companies and institutions in achieving a digital transition that is sustainable.”

Sloweb APS is a non-profit association established to promote the responsible use of
information technologies, the web and Internet applications through education,
information and by combating their improper uses by organizations of any nature,
including oligopolies.

 

Sloweb asserts that the web is an extraordinary vehicle for the transmission of knowledge,
memories and quality information. Sloweb acknowledges the endless opportunities and
the huge potential that digital technologies offer, including facilitating the inclusion of
people with disabilities.

 

Sloweb recognizes that the use of information technologies deeply interfere with the emotional and unconscious side of human nature, and significantly impacts the
environment. Alongside opportunities, there are social and environmental risks and
phenomena that must be carefully assessed and, in specific cases, challenged.

 

Sloweb is also committed to protecting human fundamental rights in the specific field of
the ecological use of personal digital data: reducing, protecting, selecting, owning, deleting
and managing one’s digital legacy.

  • Fighting digital addiction and compulsive use of digital devices,
  • Promoting responsible and participatory behavior in software development.
